Riding the new maglev Shinkansen

Back in 2019, I was lucky enough to get tickets for a ride on the L0 Series maglev train at the Yamanashi Test Track.

This test track will form part of the new Chuo Shinkansen, which is under construction between Shinagawa in Tokyo and Nagoya, and is due to open by 2030. A further extension to Osaka is in the pipeline.

It was a brilliant day out, capped off by reaching just over 500km/h!
